Lionel Messi (Inter Miami) 10
Heading into their game against CF Montreal on Saturday, MLS champions Inter Miami had lost four of their previous five games since the league resumed after the World Cup, and were desperately in need of a victory.
Up stepped, who else, but Lionel Messi.
It has been a tough time for the Argentine great after the death of his father, but against Montreal, Messi scored four goals and grabbed an assist in an emphatic 7-1 victory.
The first was rather fortunate, when his free kick took a big deflection past the opposition goalkeeper - in fact, this was registered as an own goal by many databases, but credited to Messi by MLS.
The second was classic Messi: A mercurial run in the penalty area before an emphatic finish. He completed his hat-trick with a delightful dink, while his fourth was a lovely free kick for Miami's seventh of the game. He also assisted close friend and former Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez.
He was at his creative best too, making six key passes and creating three big chances.
He now leads the MLS top scorer standings with 17 goals, while Miami sit second in the Eastern Conference. Messi may be 39, but the little magician has still got it.
Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) 10
In the same week that he was crowned the PFA Player of the Year for the 2025/26 season, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes celebrated it in style, scoring a hat-trick in his side's thumping 5-2 win over newly promoted Ipswich in the Premier League on Sunday.
Coming off the back of a dismal 2-0 defeat to another newly promoted side, Hull City, it was imperative that United got three points on the board and their campaign up and running.
After going 1-0 down at Old Trafford, Fernandes stepped up for his team, finishing emphatically with his left foot when played in on goal to level proceedings.
He then netted from the penalty spot to make it 3-1, before slotting home from close range to make it four. To cap off his performance, he also picked up an assist following a wonderful lofted ball to Bryan Mbeumo.
Additionally, Fernandes had a game-high 91 touches and eight shots, showing he was at the heart of everything good for United.
It was a much-needed victory to quieten some noise - and, as usual, the Red Devils had Fernandes to thank.
Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) 9.5
Kylian Mbappe has started the season in typically electric form, following up his recent hat-trick against Real Sociedad (for which he earned a rating of 9.9) with another goal in Sunday's 4-0 win over Malaga, continuing Jose Mourinho's 100% start as Real Madrid manager.
The France captain side-footed home with aplomb to make it 3-0, and he was a constant livewire in the final third for his team against the newly promoted outfit.
Mbappe completed a game-high seven dribbles while firing off six shots on goal. He also did his bit off the ball, winning eight duels.
With four goals in three games and Real Madrid having picked up nine points from a possible nine, Mourinho couldn't have asked for much more from his team, as they look to avoid a third-straight season without a trophy.
