Caminero's 40th home run of the season gave the Rays their American League-leading 88th win of the season and the first walk-off homer of his young, superstar career.

Tampa are now two wins away from reaching 90 wins for the second time in the past six seasons.

The Rays have been atop both the AL East division and the AL as a whole for the overwhelming majority of the season. Their 48-25 home record ranks second behind the Milwaukee Brewers (50-25) for the best in the entire league. 

Meanwhile, their 33-23 record against teams with a record of .500 or better ranks third (first in the AL) behind Milwaukee (41-28) and the Atlanta Braves (37-26). 

They rank 11th in slugging (.404), 13th in runs (665), 21st in home runs (157), but are first in batting average (.260), third in hits (1,284), third in steals (149), and fifth in on-base percentage (.328). 

On the mound, they're seventh in earned run average (3.79), sixth in hits given up (1,136), and eighth in runs (607), with opponents hitting just .231 (4th).

With the win, Tampa now hold a 3.5-game lead over the New York Yankees for first place in the AL East. The last time the Rays finished a season with the best record in the American League was in 2021 (100-62), when they eventually lost to the Red Sox in the AL Division Series in four games.
