Alvaro Arbeloa has taken three players to Craven Cottage from the Santiago Bernabeu since taking charge, in Gonzalo Garcia, Cesar Palacios and Manuel Angel.

The trio are adjusting to life in England, but Gonzalo and Palacios have immediately become integral players in the starting lineup.

There are team adjustments still being made though, and the prospect of a deal for Carvajal has been floated. 

Carvajal, 34, left Madrid in the summer but is someone Arbeloa knows well - and Fulham have a right-back problem right now.

Kenny Tete's role in the set-up is uncertain, while Timothy Castagne has been unconvincing this season.

Sources confirm that the opportunity to make a move for Carvajal is something that has been brought up in the club's inner circles, at a time when Arbeloa is attempting to stabilise the squad.
